Artist Statement
I make large, semi-abstracted landscape paintings using traditional materials in uncommon ways. Many layers with acrylic paint, oil stick, resist, sgraffito, and pencil as a final patina. Abundant detail consisting of observations from life and mental bric-a-brac - must be seen up close.
