Artist Statement
Peggy Schuning is an award winning mixed media & mosaic artist drawn to uncover a masterpiece in the broken, discarded, or unused pieces of daily life. Her work is inspired by what is created on earth. Using re-purposed slate, stone, stained glass, smalti, and other found objects, she focuses on the beauty of the elements and calls attention to the natural yet subtle textures, colors, and movement that can be observed.
