Artist Statement
The assemblages consist mostly of framed wall boxes utilizing found and made objects. Some may be just humorous whimsical creations, others reflections on life, memories of joys and sorrows of the past and present, others concerned with the Human Condition - human behavior and interactions - Love, Altruism, Hate, Greed, Desire. Environmental issues also come into focus - Extinctions, Fate of the Earth. Those are subjects of my interest and concern. Kinetic objects are wall stages with multiple moving figures, and single hand cut kinetic objects on stands. In all my work whenever possible I use recycled materials - wood and metal. The material has great patina and is environmentally friendly.
