Artist Statement
Lavinia Hanachiuc is a multimedia Romanian born artist.
She has exhibited locally and internationally, and temporarily resided in Italy and Japan. Alienation , belonging, narratives of situations undone with a touch of magical realism are themes found in her pieces that tie together a figurative body of work over multiple art mediums.
Her work has been described by American Book Review as â??raw and unaffected by social constraintsâ?? or simply put by Anonymous, â??maybe in a museum, not in my cubicleâ??.
Lavinia Hanachiuc currently lives, works, and teaches, in Ann Arbor, Michigan
