Artist Statement
For the past several years I've been interested in water imagery, and the transitive and temporal characteristics of a continually transforming theme. I enjoy the subject in its own right, but I also like it as a vehicle for exploring drawing. The patterns and textures of the water surface and subsurface, as well as the endless color variations of reflected light, are ideal sources for using color, line, and the calligraphy of drawing.
