I am drawn to surfaces that have been altered by time. I create fabricated sculptural jewelry informed by the lines and textures etched in land by nature and patterns that occur through man's agricultural practices. Eroded landforms, rusted metal, cleaved stones, petroglyphs, mended cloth and aerial views of agriculture patterns, are interpreted in metal. I fuse silver and gold with hammered, chased and textured surfaces to fabricate rings, bracelets, earrings and neckpieces accented by gems and shaped stones. These individual pieces of jewelry become the small-scale reflection of surfaces, both vast and intimate, changed by the passage of time.
