Artist Statement
My vessels are one of a kind made from handmade paper. Some of my vessels are dyed with pigment and embellished of chalk pastels, others are painted with gesso and layered with acrylic washes. I like to incorporate coiling and weaving on my vessels. I also use driftwood, seagrass, fibre and semi-precious stones. Some of my vessels are created for ceremonies, weddings, births and deaths. These may be used to hold wishes, poems, vows,or ashes.
