Artist Statement
Alicia LaChance is an internationally recognized painter. Her works have been commissioned and placed in Abu Dhabi, London, Lambert International Airport, the Esteé Lauder collection in New York among many others. Her paintings have a singular process that focus on surface and color. The quality of the fresco along with contemporary renderings seem to bridge the gap between old and new. LaChance's work with botanicals and abstract patterns evoke multicultural influences and contemporary design. Known for her sensitive use of color, the artist focuses on glazing each painting with multiple rounds of oil paints achieving an objectified piece that transcends the traditional idea of the medium.
