Artist Statement
Dogs have incredible capacity. The more you look, the more they exceed your ideas beyond that of trusted companion. As art subject matter, there is much to explore in a contemporary portrait. Dogs live such different experiences. From abandoned dog on the street, to kenneled hunting dog, to show dog with a Facebook page, there is an ability for deep connection with us! Capturing that essence of what we love about dogs and our relationship to them is what I strive to put on canvas!
