Artist Statement
As a fan of nature in all of its forms I strive to create work that reminds me of a place I have been. I want it to be somewhere between a memory and a dream in the sense I don't want to spell everything out by duplicating what I see, but capturing the essence of the scene instead. This allows the viewer to add their interpretation as well. Maybe reminding them of a certain time or place familiar to them.
