Spend time at the Fair creating your own works of art in the Art Activity Zone. Located on The University of Michigan Diag, off of
North University Avenue. This area is open Wed-Sat., 11am – 6pm.

Initial That! Monogram Tiles By: Detroit Institute of the Arts
Did you know the Greek meaning of monogram means “intertwined letters”? You’ll learn that and much more as you create beautiful monogrammed tiles suitable for framing.

Make a beeswax candle with the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor! Beeswax candles are easy and fun to roll and decorate. You’ll even learn how to apply beeswax appliqués.
Found Object Animal Sculptures

Build found object animal and dinosaur sculptures. Using a variety of objects you will make animals you might find at their museum.
Float Making 101 The Parade Company
Lend a hand in the creation of the art for America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Learn what goes into the making of The Parade Company’s magnificent floats as you paper mache’ foam shapes.
Bubble Wands Made by YOU- FRI & SAT ONLY By: Dr. Susan Gelman’s Conceptual Development Lab at The University of Michigan
Bubbles at the Fair! Design simple wire bubble wands decorated with beads or create a more complex star, heart or flower shape. All ages are encouraged to participate! Bubble solution will be provided to try out your creation.
