Artist Statement
I have been designing and making my own jewelry since 1998. I am an entirely self-taught jeweler. My background was mostly scholarly. I taught and published on Critical Thinking Theories for more than 20 years as a PhD Professor of Contemporary French Literature. For years, I worked mostly on silver and resin collections. I added lately an extensive gold and diamond collection and more recently a new line of gold and ceramic jewelry. My scholarly background may have helped me create my designs in a more complex and postmodern way.
